    Welcome to this module focused on the stake of the counsellor in ‘social work’, which is the work carried out by trained professionals with the aim of helping people who have social disadvantages or personal problems.  The aim of this module is not to train you as social worker1, but to provide insight into the WC’s (Wellness Counsellor) complementary role in social work. Accordingly, we recommend that as WC2you seek to always work alongside a social worker to perform the duties and make the contributions as set out in this content. This way you will be able to refer serious or complex social situations to a social worker professional.
