    Healthy Conflict Resolution explores the nature of interpersonal conflict, including common causes, conflict patterns and factors that can contribute to escalation. Learners are introduced to practical communication strategies such as using “I” statements, active listening, validation, clear expression of needs and de-escalation techniques.
    The course also explores the importance of accountability, effective apologies, rebuilding trust and addressing unresolved issues following conflict. By the end of the course, learners will have practical strategies to navigate disagreements more constructively and support healthier communication and relationships.

    Module 1: Understanding Conflict
    This module explores what conflict is, why it occurs and how difference sin needs, expectations, values and perspectives can contribute to disagreements. It covers common conflict patterns, the cycle and escalation of conflict, conflict avoidance, and unhelpful responses such as blame, criticism, defensiveness and personal attacks. 

    Module 2: Communicating During Conflict
    This module focuses on practical communication skills for navigating disagreements constructively. Learners explore “I” statements, active listening, clarifying questions, validation, staying focused on the issue, de-escalation, taking healthy pauses, communicating needs and making clear requests.

    Module 3: Repairing After Conflict
    This module focuses on what happens after a disagreement and how relationships can be repaired. It covers effective apologies, taking responsibility, listening after conflict, rebuilding trust, addressing unresolved issues, forgiveness, learning from disagreements and creating healthier patterns for future interactions.
